Thoughts Mini Album
I hope everyone had a restful Easter and didn't eat too many Easter eggs. A huge thanks to my Family up north who put me up for 5 lovely days. They spoilt me rotten so that all I did was craft hard out and relax and have fun. I have lots post ready to put up thanks to them.
This is a little File
Folder Album uses the Stampin'Up Envelope Punch Board. I’m not sure who posted the
original Youtube video of this technique…. But a huge thanks to you. I'm going to do this project over three posts because it is a long one. Stick with me. First a list of all the things I used to create my album...

Cover.
Cut two pieces of chipboard to 6-1/4” X 4-3/4”.
Cut one piece of chipboard
to 6-1/4” X 1-1/2”.
Cut two piece of SU Early
Espresso card stock to 6-1/4” X 11-1/2”.
·
Outside cover.
Apply Anywhere glue stick to the whole surface of the piece
of Early Espresso card stock to 6-1/4” X
11-1/2”. Line up the chip board as per the photo, lining up on the edges with a gape
on either side of the spine piece. Score with the side edge of the bone folder.
Inside back cover pocket
and cover lining.
Cut a
piece of Earl Espresso card 8-1/4 X 3”-1/2”.
Punch one long edge with the Scallop Trim Border Punch . Score 1” from either end
using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.
You need to wrap and glue
this around the inside cover liner before gluing it to the chip board. Glue it
to the previous piece and score the spine lines with bone
folder. This is where
we slip the anchor page to hold the book pages in.
Ink all the edges
using Early
Espresso and a Stampin Sponge.
Colour
the Seam Binding ribbon Very Vanilla with Early Espresso ink.
On the centre of the outside of the cover
place a row of Snail Adhesive then attach the
dry seam binding.
Patterned paper for
Outside Cover.
Cut two pieces of Very
Vanilla Card Stock 6” X 4-1/2” and one piece at 6” X 1-1/4”
Ink with Early
Espresso and Pool Party
and stamp with Hello
Doily and Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.
Glue
these pieces onto the front covers.
Inside Covers Left side.
Now we are going to make
the file folder tabs using the Envelope Punch Board. This
is for the left hand of the inside cover. Cut two pieces of card stock at 6” X
3”.
On both pieces line up the edge with the 3” mark on the punch
board.
and punch, then line up the left hand side of
the same piece with the centre of the punch and punch.
Then cut away the piece to the right of the
punch centre mark,
All File Tabs
are made the same.
Score with the Simply
Scored Scoring Tool one long edge on both pieces at 1/4".
Flip
one of the pieces over so that they will meet as per the photo.
Apply
Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the 1/4” fold and line up and glue onto inside
front left cover.
Make sure they line up to close.
Decorative paper mat for file folder tabs.
Cut a piece of Very Vanilla Card 6” X 5”. (This is for both tabs.
Once stamped cut it apart.) Ink and stamp as we did for the front cover. Cut it into two pieces measuring 6” X 2-1/2. On both pieces line up the
edge with the 3” mark on the punch board (see photo above) and punch, then line
up the left hand side of the same piece with the centre of the punch and punch.
(See photo above). Then cut one away the piece to the right of the punch centre
mark and the other to the left… you’ll figure it out.(see photo above). Just make sure you do these as opposites.
Trim 1/8” off each end of the
two pieces. Add the Antique Brads before gluing
them onto the tab folder.
Lining or inside the
tabs(left side) Don’t need right hand piece this is covered by the pages. oops.
Glue this in place where
shown. We are now finished the cover except for the front decoration. My next
blog post will be making the pages for inside the cover. Check back soon. Keep
