I hope everyone had a restful Easter and didn't eat too many Easter eggs. A huge thanks to my Family up north who put me up for 5 lovely days. They spoilt me rotten so that all I did was craft hard out and relax and have fun. I have lots post ready to put up thanks to them.

Cover.
Cut  two pieces of chipboard to 6-1/4” X 4-3/4”.
Cut one piece of chipboard to 6-1/4” X 1-1/2”.
Cut two piece of SU Early Espresso card stock to 6-1/4” X 11-1/2”.

·
Outside cover.
Apply Anywhere glue stick to the whole surface of the piece of Early Espresso card stock to 6-1/4” X 11-1/2”. Line up the chip board as per the photo, lining up on the edges with a gape on either side of the spine piece. Score with the side edge of the bone folder.

You do need to decorate the back pocket piece the same as previous. Sorry havent got a photo but I'm sure you get the picture.

Inside back cover pocket and cover lining.
Cut a piece of Earl Espresso card 8-1/4 X 3”-1/2”. Punch one long edge with the  Scallop Trim Border Punch . Score 1” from either end using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.

You need to wrap and glue this around the inside cover liner before gluing it to the chip board. Glue it to the previous piece and score the spine lines with bone folder. This is where we slip the anchor page to hold the book pages in.

Ink all the edges using  Early Espresso  and a Stampin Sponge.

Colour the Seam Binding ribbon Very Vanilla with Early Espresso ink.

On the centre of the outside of the cover place a row of Snail Adhesive then attach the dry seam binding

Patterned paper for Outside Cover.
Cut two pieces of Very Vanilla Card Stock 6” X 4-1/2” and one piece at 6” X 1-1/4”

Ink with Early Espresso and Pool Party

and stamp with Hello Doily and Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.

Glue these pieces onto the front covers.

Inside Covers Left side.
Now we are going to make the file folder tabs using the Envelope Punch Board. This is for the left hand of the inside cover. Cut two pieces of card stock at 6” X 3”.
On both pieces line up the edge with the 3” mark on the punch board.

and punch, then line up the left hand side of the same piece with the centre of the punch and punch.
Then cut away the piece to the right of the punch centre mark,

All File Tabs are made the same.
Score with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool one long edge on both pieces at 1/4".

Flip one of the pieces over so that they will meet as per the photo.

Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the 1/4” fold and line up and glue onto inside front left cover.

Make sure they line up to close.

Decorative paper mat for file folder tabs.

Cut a piece of Very Vanilla Card 6” X 5”. (This is for both tabs. Once stamped cut it apart.) Ink and stamp as we did for the front cover. Cut it into two pieces measuring 6” X 2-1/2. On both pieces line up the edge with the 3” mark on the punch board (see photo above) and punch, then line up the left hand side of the same piece with the centre of the punch and punch. (See photo above). Then cut one away the piece to the right of the punch centre mark and the other to the left… you’ll figure it out.(see photo above). Just make sure you do these as opposites.  Trim 1/8” off each end of the two pieces. Add the Antique Brads before gluing them onto the tab folder.

Lining or inside the tabs(left side)   Don’t need right hand piece this is covered by the pages. oops.

Glue this in place where shown. We are now finished the cover except for the front decoration. My next blog post will be making the pages for inside the cover. Check back soon. Keep on stampin’. Wendy
