Double Embossed Thank You card

Double Embossed Thank You card.
This is a really cool technique where you make a frame from 3 layers of the backing card off the SU designer papers (or thin chip board) and this frame replaces on of the cutting pads when you put your chosen embossing folder through the Big Shot machine. You will under stand soon. Lets get started.

  • My home made bow maker.

To cut the frame I used Framelits Oval Collection and the chip board. I stacked 3 pieces together and fed it through my Big Shot machine with all the tabs and both cutting board. WARNING you may have to put it through without the top tab if your chip board is thick...proceed with caution.OR you can do 2 layers of chip board then use the one with the hole cut  as the top layer to line up the die for the 3rd layer. I say this because when you put it through your Big Shot it will only cut the top layer but it embosses the 2nd layer so that you get the die in the right place on the next pass through the machine to cut. Proceed until you have 3 layers with the hole cut in the same place. Then glue these together. You will need both the frame and the cut out.
I then placed my whisper white card (A6) into the Petals-a-plenty Embossing folder and lay the frame over it. Lining it up where I wanted the flat area to be on my card face. I then fed it through my Big Shot machine with all the tabs and only one cutting plate.
My embossed piece looks like this... but that's not all now we do the double part of it.

I took the Embossing Folder Designer Frames (Soon to be deleted) sooooo sad. and position it over the flat area on my card. I placed the oval cut out over the area on the embossing folder and sent it through my big shot to get this.... WOW.

I then stamped my message.
Cut my leaves with Little Leaves Sizzilits (Soon to be deleted)
Stamped them with the Hello Doily stamp and  Pool Party Ink
Punched out BoHo blossoms from Rich Razzleberry and Island Indigo Card stock.
I then stamped these punched flowers with stipple blossom (the small flower stamp) using Island Indigo Ink
Then I shaped them using Simply scored stylus from scoring tool and Stampin' Pierce Mat. Then added Jewel Basic Pearl.
I used the Seam binding ribbon Very Vanilla to make a bow which I had coloured with Rich Razzleberry Ink as shown in a previous blog.
I worked out my placement then glued it all in place.
Check back soon. Keep on Stampin'

I embossed just the top section of my Wild Wasabi card stock by placing my chipboard triangle over the top section only and feeding it through my Big Shot machine with all the tabs and one clear cutting pad.
I then swiped over my card face with the Embossing Buddy then stamped my chosen words(Field Flowers Stamp set) with versamark ink and sprinkled White embossing powder over the area, shake off the excess and heated with the Heat Tool. I glued the butterflies on with mini glue dots then added  Jewels Basic Pearls. I then mount this onto the Whisper White card base. And it's done.

      Now for the button one...
I inked the die with Earky Espresso ink then placed my piece of card stock Soft Suede into the die and sent it through the Big Shot machine...it cut embossed and coloured with one pass through. Sooo cool!
I cut my card stock Crumb Cake with the  Top Notes Bigz Die through the Big Shot machine. I love the little faux stiched edge this die applies.
I then used my chipboard triangle to emboss only the top section of my cut card (refer above)

I then stamped my greeting using the Perfectly Penned stamp set and Early Espresso Classic Stampin' pad. I used mini glue dots to apply the buttons onto the card face. And I'm done. So fast. Check back soon. Keep on stampin' ...Wendy

      Six-Sided Sampler Ink Blending

      Six-Sided Sampler My Friend Card
I did a few different versions of this card. The technique is colour blending directly on the stamp. It is a very easy card to make. Needed and easy one after my Mini Album posts. Next I want to try one in black and white for a men's card. This has huge potential.  Lets get started.
      List of Product used.

      • Hexagon Punch 102892
      •  Seam Binding Ribbon Very Vanilla (Soon to be deleted)
      • Multi purpose liquid glue 110755
      • Glue Dots 103683

      • A4 Card stock Rich Razzleberry 119981
      • Blooming With Kindness Stamp set (Soon to be deleted)
      • my home made bow maker

I used an A5 piece of Pear Pizzazz card and an A6 piece of Bermuda Bay card.
I inked the stamp with the two shades of ink and stamped them onto whisper white.
I punched them out with the Hexagon punch.

I then inked around each piece with the Sponge Dauber and Bermuda Bay Ink.
I then lined my hexagons up right on the edge of my piece of card and glued them in place with Multi purpose liquid glue. Then cut away as shown in the photo.
I then stamped my chosen message with  Basic Black Ink.

         And that quickly ...it's done.

        Another colour pallet
I coloured some seam binding ribbon with the Rich Razzleberry Ink
I added a bow to this one. (I will do a video on how I did this bow.) I used a glue dot to attach it to my card.
And here they are. Love the double ink colour on the stamp. Any product featured that you just can't live without order it in an email to me. Thanks for following and keep on Stampin'. Over and Out for Now Wendy
